Aieysha Haws, a Florida-born, Toronto-based lyricist, & singer-songwriter of Jamaican descent, blends Contemporary R&B, Hip-Hop Soul, & Fusion genres.

Her heartfelt compositions & compelling storytelling focus on themes of introspective wisdom, self-discovery, community & a sense of belonging with inspiration from Patti LaBelle, Tina Turner, Beyonce, Mary J Blige, Lauryn Hill & Erykah Badu, among others. “I strive to empower & uplift audiences by urging them to embrace their true selves & confront life’s obstacles with poise & resilience,” says Haws. “I want to be a vehicle for positive change through words, sound & power, a concept deeply rooted in Jamaican culture.”

On Haws' EP, The Awakening (summer 2024), she dives deeper into her musical roots & explores new sonic landscapes, complemented by profound messages & emotive melodies. With her powerful vocals, insightful lyrics, & soulful energy, Haws continues to push boundaries & inspire positive change through her music.

Her music has also been recognized by respected publications like NEXT magazine & iMullar (Ghana), and she has received airplay on major radio stations like BBC Music Introducing (UK), CBC: Big City, Small World, & Chicago’s Vocalo Radio. Haws has a love for exploring different cultures through their music & has performed Iocal & internationally at Tallinn Music Week in Estonia, Canadian Music Week, Afro Caribbean Cultural Festival featuring Charly Black & Alison Hinds, as well as Converse x Footlocker Canada Sessions in 2023.
